ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hsing Ya Wu

Hsing Ya is an accomplished choreographer and dancer from Taiwan, now based in London. She has received funding 11 times from Arts Council England, National Culture and Arts Foundation, and Ministry of Culture in Taiwan.

Her works showcased at London's The Place in Resolution 2022 and Resolution 2019 were highly successful. Hsing Ya has performed with various esteemed companies including Ella Mesma,

Dance Forum Taipei, WC Dance, Feng Dance, and Appetite Dance. She has also been granted residencies at The American Dance Festival (USA), Taipei Artist Village (Taiwan), and The Watermill Center (New York). Hsing Ya holds a Choreography degree from Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2023, she was selected as the artist-in-residence at Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
